GSF continues food distribution during coronavirus

GSF food program.jpg

Although the coronavirus and ensuing shut down of normal life in Haiti and around the world has forced GSF to close our schools for the time being, on Île à Vache we have committed to continuing our school feeding program by transitioning to food distribution to students’ homes. In the past days we have distributed chicken and beef, eggs, cooking oil, beans, rice, and our local peanut butter normally provided for by our school lunch budget, along with soap which went out last week.

We believe it is our responsibility to continue to provide this critical support to our students and their families during the coronavirus disruption, while maintaining safe social distancing and sanitation practices. We are using the funds entrusted to us by our donors for this school yeas for school lunches to continue this important service to make sure the children are still fed. With your continued assistance, we can help our students and their families get through this crisis and back to normal life when it ends.
