IMECT School building nearing completion

Even in the midst of one of the most difficult periods in Haiti’s recent history, our GSF team is continuing to make a major difference in the lives of people in the communities where we work. Not only are GSF activities being maintained in spite of everything, major progress is actually being made! We are very proud of the construction of the new building for IMECT School, which is nearly complete. The challenges that have faced the construction team in the middle of transportation shutdowns, logistical obstacles, and instability in the country have been serious, but they have been able to nearly finish the school and should complete it soon! This will be a huge benefit to the students there who will have a larger, safer, and better facility to attend school.

Meanwhile at Ile A Vache, GSF is readying our third shipment of food and sanitary supplies to the island. This kind of activity has become absolutely critical as the situation has deteriorated and access to basic supplies has become complicated. Your support makes this possible. We continue to pay salaries to our teachers and workers, and plan to continue our distribution of food parcels for the elderly and pregnant and nursing mothers. Thank you for standing by Haitians now more than ever.
